the urban transplant of desert life
We went to the Zilker Botanical Garden to see some bonsai trees on display.
Here’s a couple pictures from the show:
Later in the day, we stopped by a garden department and picked up some succulents and clay pots:
E.T.’s Fingers (aka gollum jade)
Split Rock (Pleiospilos)
Here’s another succulent whose name I don’t remember right now:
We also saved a cactus from doom:
This one was blooming with a couple trays of similar cacti.
Months have flown by where our living quarters did not have any non-artificial life sharing the space while we were at work during the day. These plants should be easy to take care of, so we should have them for a while. Peace out.
