the surplus

When a company has overstock, they are said to have surplus. Sales on popular products eventually plummet which leads to warehouses having too much inventory. Storing surplus can be expensive, and the best way to get rid of most of it is by liquidating. Companies will sell the products at cost, and if they don’t succeed in selling everything, then they may sell the surplus below cost. This leads to great savings for the end-user.
