the still awake
I’m on my way to the dreamworld, so I’m wrapping up my night here. This week has flown by. I am so grateful that I didn’t have to wake up early a single day this week. I am also grateful that I got paid today.
I am a little disappointed in myself for going to bed extremely late and waking up just in time to get ready and go to work. I’m overdue for a haircut. I haven’t done much of anything but work and sleep these past few days.
After work, I personally delivered the Ricebox to its owner. He had brought it to me to clean up ’cause it was malfunctioning. Being tied up with work, school and life, I was unable to get around to it and held on to the machine for over two weeks. I felt bad and finally had the opportunity on Wednesday night to fix it up. I enjoy the relief I get after fixing up someone’s machine and getting that task out of the way. Everytime I glance at someone else’s busted box in my territory, I can almost hear it whisper “Fix me.”
Mare & I watched a short art film called Un chien andalou which was very interesting. In the beginning of the short, a man sharpens a razor and slices a lady’s eyeball open. One of the directors of the film is my all-time favorite surrealist painter, Dalí. The imagery really reflects his style such as ants frantically running out of a hole in a man’s hand.
We also enjoyed ham&egg breakfast tacos and home fries cooked by yours truly for a late night dinner. Taco C let us down by serving breakfast starting at midnight when I thought they started at eleven. I was really craving a couple barbacoa tacos and a chorizo&egg taco. With the time in mind now, I’ll try again another time. Tomorrow is Bustaburger night and the last weekday of Spring Break oh-seven. Shucks.
