Yesterday, the price to send a letter through USPS First-Class went up two cents. This is the second raise this year. A stamp nicknamed ‘the Forever stamp’ was released last month to combat the rising cost of postage. The stamp sells for 41 cents, the same price as a current First-Class postage stamp. The stamp is good for sending a letter weighing one ounce or less First-Class forever, no matter how much postage goes up.
Even though times have changed, mailboxes have stayed relatively the same. Mailboxes are still prone to vandalism or destruction by the weather over time. You want that mailbox to last as long as your house. If you live in a neighborhood that uses curbside or wall-mounted mailboxes, then you should make sure to own a mailbox that will last you twenty years or more.
