The start of the work week returned this morning. My two alarms woke me up multiple times as usual. I snapped out of bed and got ready for work as usual. I worked my eight hours and took my two breaks at their usual times.
I ran a couple errands after work, relaxed a bit at home, then went to class. I got a haircut at a new place for the first time in over five years and enjoyed a free hot & juicy cheeseburger from Wendy’s with a purchase of a small order of fries and a small drink. I could taste the difference, but it’s not too far from what they had before. The meal was still tasty, and I’ll probably end up using the three other coupons I scored for freebies.
I sat through class and had a moment of hilarity as I watched a guy that sits in front of me pull up a No Limit film on Netflix called Hot Boyz. I had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from bursting out laughing. Then footage was a thug on a high-speed chase maneuvering the streets while calamity ensued. Seeing this guy stream Netflix and sitting through the lecture was a juxtaposed. That was the funniest part of my day.
Now I’m on here wrapping up my online chores and looking forward to breakfast for dinner prepared by my valentine. Peace out.
During the first few quarters, I took a long nap and finished my project for my online class. The project only took me less than half an hour. I wish I had caught all the Super Bowl commercials as they aired, because it’s not the same to just stream them all from an online list. I caught the last quarter and some of the commercials.
This super relaxing weekend is nearing its end. I already want the next one to arrive. Regardless, I’m ready for the grind. I’m adjusted to balance class with work, so I should be able to get through this week before I know it’s over. Peace out.
We just finished the third season of Breaking Bad and eager for the next season to start airing.
We’ve been a couple couch potatoes all day today catching up on our TV shows from this past week. We’re going to get some burgers here in a bit but maybe knock out a few rounds of Tetris before we go. The tortas and breakfast tacos were delicious as usual this morning.
We plan on going to the park for a stroll tomorrow morning. I’ll get my online class squared away as well before this week’s deadline. The weather today is great, completely the opposite of yesterday. I hope tomorrow is more of the same, especially since I’ll be enjoying the outdoors much more than usual. Peace out.
About an inch and a half of snow falls on the ground, the roads freeze over, and the City of Austin takes a day off. I had the day off. The plan was to go into the office later this morning, but that was dismissed. Who has two thumbs and a three-day weekend? This guy!
I’ve just stayed in all day today. I had the pleasure of enjoy a big cup of joe with a plate of biscuits and gravy with M this morning. We played some Tetris on PS3 + EA Online, and I played around with her new phone.
I installed some ringtones and a couple games (Bejeweled and Absolute Tris). She’s working from home. I’ve just been surfing the web listening to morning radio and some album downloads (Honeysuckle Weeks and Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys to name a couple).
What a relaxing Friday. This is going to be a good weekend. The weather should be better, and the tortas are the best. Peace out.
My brain hurts. After my lunch break today, I started having a headache. It hasn’t gone away yet. The weather makes all the difference in my world. January was when the allergies got me. The low temperatures seem to be getting me this month.
I saw a Bluff Rat on KXAN News that I graduated with who works at Auto Zone now. He was talking about how batteries are affected by a cold snap.
That Middle Class Rut beat is playing in my head. I heard their current radio song (New Low) twice today. My head feels like it’s had its share of glowing boxes since last weekend.
Snow expected tonight. I wish I didn’t have to use my eyes every moment that I’m awake. Peace out.
Today is Groundhog Day. It’s been a cold day. The city of Austin has been experiencing some rolling blackouts but I didn’t have to deal with any of it in my humble abode or my place of employment.
I’ll be leaving for class in about ten minutes. I’m eager to be over with class for the week and back home keeping warm.
M&I have been catching up on Breaking Bad. What an excellent show. We’re almost halfway through Season 3 and will be caught up soon.
This week is moving along well, and I’m looking forward to the warmer weekend and the Saturday torta. Peace out.
Tuesdays are OK. The Spring semester is in full swing, and I’m taking my last couple classes for a while. I still work the full-time job and will be hitting the two-year mark at my current employer this month. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be employed at my current job, and I think about it every time when I’m clocked in and devoted to them for eight hours of the day. The economy seems to be getting better, and I’m almost done with this round of education so I’m looking forward to moving on when the time and situation is right.
Mondays and Wednesdays are when I have to physically be in an institution attending class. The other course is being taken online. Fortunately, Mondays and Wednesdays are earlier in the week because it helps them fly by. I don’t particularly enjoy Mondays and Wednesdays right now, but this current schedule will be over before I know it.
M started her real world career in January since she graduated in December. I’m glad she has Saturdays and Sundays off now.
Life’s been good. Peace out.
