My two posts a week goal quickly went by the wayside, but I won’t stop updating once in a while. Summer has returned again. Texas is hot.
Next Friday, M&I will be heading down to San Antonio in the evening to watch Adam Carolla perform stand-up. The last comedy show we attended was Louis CK at The Paramount. I’m really looking forward to the show next week and having some genuine laughs.
I’m truly going to keep this one short. Our green tea is ready. The toast to my daily sandwich is ready for the meat and cheese. Bedtime is near. Tomorrow’s Friday, and I’m also looking forward to this weekend. Looking forward. I’ve been doing that more than ever. Peace out.
About an inch and a half of snow falls on the ground, the roads freeze over, and the City of Austin takes a day off. I had the day off. The plan was to go into the office later this morning, but that was dismissed. Who has two thumbs and a three-day weekend? This guy!
I’ve just stayed in all day today. I had the pleasure of enjoy a big cup of joe with a plate of biscuits and gravy with M this morning. We played some Tetris on PS3 + EA Online, and I played around with her new phone.
I installed some ringtones and a couple games (Bejeweled and Absolute Tris). She’s working from home. I’ve just been surfing the web listening to morning radio and some album downloads (Honeysuckle Weeks and Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys to name a couple).
What a relaxing Friday. This is going to be a good weekend. The weather should be better, and the tortas are the best. Peace out.
Thank Goodness Tomorrow’s Friday.
I’m looking forward to going to Stubb’s after work to see one of my all-time favorite bands NOFX. The word through the grapevine is that they’re playing The Decline in its entirety. It’s 18+ minutes of one hell of an awesome song. I hope this rumor’s true, and that they play it for the Austin crowd. I’m excited. This will be a memorable Leap Day.
Today was yet another ultra-busy day at work. I wrapped up my weekly project. We got a new soda machine with a new selection of drink varieties. Added to the mix are: lemonade (the one I voted for but not the right brand), Mountain Dew, La Croix sparkling water, Sprite, Diet Pepsi, and Big Red. I see some of these changing in the future, but it’s a treat to have that many to choose from along with the other choices we’ve had before for only a quarter a can.
Another bonus at work today was that I finally received my nameplate. I guess that makes me an absolute official member of the crew. The discouraging type may think that nameplates are given out as a morale booster, but I earned it and you didn’t. This ex-pizza boy is now more of a corporate cog than ever. w00t!
Prepare yourself for the +3 posts I will be completing tonite ’cause 29 was the goal. Peace out.
